Edgardo (Edgar) Zamora is a former fashion designer from Argentina who has made a name for himself as the most sought after event designer in Hollywood. At the forefront of his field, he is the design genius behind every major U.S. event planner. Zamora is an exceptional visionary who creates the look and feel of events that have ranged from the Academy Award Governor’s Ball and Grammy’s to the Disney Hall and Staples Center Gala Openings. Zamora designed the much-anticipated Jennifer Lopez/Ben Affleck wedding, nuptials for Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston, Shaquille O’Neal, No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani and musical artist Jessica Simpson. Zamora is adored by the great ladies of Tinsel town from Mrs. Medavoy and Tisch to King and Antebi. His home number is no doubt programmed into the speed dial of every studio event department, as he was tapped to create premieres for many major films, including How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Lord of the Rings, The Italian Job, and Charlie’s Angels Full Throttle.
Edgar’s design sense is so specific that it’s a rarity for him to ever rent any furniture or lighting. He just simply designs it instead. His warehouse is full of sofas, sconces and chandeliers that are rented by set designers and event planners. This means that anyone who wants the chairs that Shaquille O’Neal and his bride occupied for their wedding can simply contact Revelry to transform that dream into a reality.
The son of an iron and precious metals industrialist and a mother who was a renowned fashion model, his design sense is innate. As such, Zamora fuses the disciplines of clothing, interior and color design, with architecture and an outstanding knowledge of fabric. Zamora designed his first collection following high school and continued to develop his line at the University of Buenos Aires. By the age of 23, he had three signature retail boutiques carrying his prêt-a-porter line and a wholesale line that was eventually distributed throughout Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and Chile.
After exhausting his position as a media darling of Latin American fashion, Zamora moved to his father’s native Spain. He refocused his design and textile expertise toward events and landed the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Festival Corpus Christi, and the now infamous Foam Party as clients.
In 1992, Zamora co-founded an event design company in the United States. His background naturally attracted some of the country’s most influential to his doorstep. In January of 1999, he established Revelry, Inc. Since it’s inception, Revelry has earned an outstanding reputation in the event design field, not to mention a stellar client list.
