This Luxe Launch tabletop, titled “Modern Masterpiece”, was created by A Good Affair with floral design by Nisie’s Enchanted.

Natalie from A Good Affair wanted to create a marble wall with living arrangements on it as the focal point of the design. Using a 2017 trending color palette of greys, lavenders, purples, and greens together they created a romantic design that perfectly complemented the rose gold sequin linen. Tabletop was completed with eclectic glasswares and marble place cards brought the backdrop onto the table all together.

This design also showcased our Washington Chair with Arms and Versailles Crystal Chandelier.

The modern feel to this chic The Resort at Pelican Hill wedding with A Good Affair Wedding and Event Production was achieved by using mirrored furniture [ceremony accents, bar, dining tables and coffee tables] as well as crisp white florals from My Floral Bliss and blue up lighting at the reception from Honored Occasions. We’re also a fan of the club seating using our Art Deco booth  accented with the black chandeliers.

From Natalie Good of A Good Affair Wedding and Event Production

Transforming the already spectacular Newport Coast estate into something out of the time of Jazz and Speakeasys was an exciting challenge for A Good Affair and our team of amazing vendors.

Needless to say, new structures had to be constructed, rooms covered and re-vamped, unique furniture pieces brought in, and vintage details to finish off the transformation.

For the intimate group of friends and family invited, who had already been to the house for many a soiree in the past, our test was to blow their socks off with yet another amazing fete!

As guests arrived, they were welcomed with a dressing area where they could adorn themselves with period accessories (in case they missed the memo on the invitation). With strands of pearls, bow ties, hats and more, dolled up guests made their way deeper into the party to enjoy tray passed appetizers and an extravagant display of charcuterie.

With nibbles in hand, guests could mosey over to play a bit of poker or meet the absinthe fairie for a quick taste of “The Green Fairy” with true absinthe spoons and sugar cubes.

Live Jazz music flowed into the house, beckoning guests outdoors to watch a petite Jazz singer and her trio set the perfect vibe as the sun set and the hundreds of pillar candles began to flicker and shine brighter. The piece de resistance was the immense wood structure complete with gorgeous fabric swagging and glowing chandeliers that created our “speakeasy” bar and lounge area – an interior space finished with Persian rugs, settees and chaise lounges, and vintage décor pieces. The formal bar made of reclaimed wood, perfect for the setting, was set as if it was built as part of the huge tree in the background. Guests making their way to the bar area were met by a beautiful scene of vintage glass bottles, rustic wooden shelving and crystal chandeliers amidst a background of the tall tree and looming branches. What made this newly raised structure so unique and fitting to the space, was this amazing tree – with hanging lanterns and twinkling lights- it was as if the entire lounge area was meant to be there with the tree growing right into it!

A spectacular crepe station and boundless dessert buffet filled guests’ stomachs throughout the night, as they continued to drink, dance, play and have fun. But as the night grew long, those who wanted to lounge and relax had a respite in an interior room – quiet only for the crackle of a warm fire burning. Pallet benches and floor cushions, along with more luscious draping, made the room cozy and intimate. It was a perfect to hideaway for a few stolen moments of peace before re-joining the boisterous festivities in other areas of the estate.
