We have a gorgeous wedding to share held in Downtown Los Angeles at the Biltmore Hotel planned by Exquisite Events. The focal point of the room included our RED exclusive Freestanding Hook Chandeliers and 8′ Gilded Mirrors. It’s all about the lighting and the reflections. We constructed a royal stage consisting of 3 Freestanding Gilded Mirrors with a Freestanding Hook Chandeliers in front of each mirror. Our Blush Tufted Sofa from the Hampton Collection was accessorized with gold Paris coffee and accent tables.

John Solano Photography captured some of the loveliest images of the Biltmore Hotel. Amy from Hidden Garden Floral Studio and Matias of Revelry Event Designers. Chair Covers and Linens from Wildflower Linens.

This is how you do elegant ceremony seating! The tufted chairs for the Four Seasons Westlake Village ceremony were from our Paris Dining Collections .

From Exquisite Events…

For the authentic Jordanic Catholic ceremony, we mixed different styles of chairs and we placed a special sign on a chair for the bride’s late father. A huge mirror sat on the lawn with the couple’s invite printed on it.

“Nancy and Darshan’s extraordinary Santa Monica wedding was planned by Nikki and Madiha Khan of Exquisite Events, and will simply make you swoon! Both the bride’s Mexican heritage and the groom’s Indian heritage were celebrated beautifully, and it was all expertly captured by Southern California wedding photographers Lin & Jirsa. Enjoy!”

The Process: Our planning experience was great because we had the help of many influential vendors with experience. We picked the location by picking a place near to our home, which has beautiful ocean views. The design process came from picking our favorite colors and adding some romance to the design. The main dinner room was transformed with lighting and drapery to fit the look we were trying to achieve.

The Design: We wanted a warm, welcoming environment full of romance and love. We had many deep colors with accents of gold and crystals. It all went well and enhanced our attire as well. The stage (mandap) where our ceremony was very unique and beautiful! There were many people involved in getting the mandap and the lawn as beautiful as it was.

The Moments: It was a magical day. One of the best decisions was to add the Shehnai player, so we could have live music during the ceremony. Having our DJ translate the ceremony to English was important so t

The Advice: Start planning early, so that you can compare prices. There are many, many vendors to chose from but it takes so much time going through and meeting them all, and voicing your desires. Also, get your marriage license at least one month before your wedding; we ended up getting ours the day before our wedding! I think it’d be a nice thing to do to mark your one-month count down to the big day.hat everyone understood the ceremony. Having food and champagne in our room between the ceremony and reception, so we actually got to eat! Also, having some traditional Indian snacks during the Bharrat, so that the guests had some traditional food during an important event of the marriage ceremony.

faizaan zahra wedding

Faizaan and Zahra’s family and friends flew from around the world to attend their wedding reception at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. It was an impeccable event organized by Nikki Khan of Exquisite Events. The event decor was inspired by Karl Lagerfeld’s Pre-Fall 2012 Paris Bombay Collection for Chanel. Faizaan wore a tux by Tom Ford and Zahra wore a gown by Alexander McQueen. We created a luxurious decor in the Beverly Wilshire, hanging lots of beautiful chandeliers, draping the walls in fabric and creating lounge areas for guests to mingle and relax.

We loved working on Faizaan and Zahra’s Beverly Wilshire wedding with Exquisite Events and it’s been featured in the new Hello! Pakistan magazine! The famous UK Hello! magazine launched its Pakistan version this spring, and it’s been a huge success ever since. Hello! Pakistan describes Faizaan and Zahra’s summer wedding as one of the most stylish of the season!

Faizaan and Zahra met through his cousin when they were 12 years old they remained good friends for 12 years. Faizaan always had feelings for Zahra since the first time he saw her, but he didn’t want to ruin their friendship by mentioning anything. All that changed when Zahra visited Faizaan in Los Angeles from London in the summer of 2010, and before you know it, by January 6th, 2011, the two of them were engaged and both families were over the moon at the joyous celebration dinner at Zahra’s mother’s home in Lahore, Pakistan. For the rest of the year, the two families planned two weddings which took place in Lahore, Pakistan and Los Angeles, USA.

On February 10th, 2012 Faizaan and Zahra were married at the historical mosque in Lahore, Badshah e Masjid, which was built by the Mughal Emperor Akhbar. It was a small, intimate and religious, paper-signing event called a Nikka, which was followed by a brunch at a beautiful ancient Pakistani home, otherwise known as a Havelli in old city Lahore, next to the Badshah e Masjid thrown by Faizaan’s parents. Guests were entertained by a Qawali performance by Santu.

On the 12th of February, the main wedding celebration event took place, known as the Mehndi and Baraat. Traditionally Pakistanis do not combine the two events, but Zahra wanted to keep it simple and less hectic. Zahra wore a 60s-inspired traditional Pakistani bridal outfit designed by her mother and her self and Faizaan also wore a traditional Pakistani outfit which was designed by Nilofer Shahid. The event was spectacular.

In March, family and friends flew from around the world to make it to Faizaan and Zahra’s wedding reception at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, in Beverly Hills Los Angeles.
