The Hidden Garden Floral Design

Amy Marella turned her passion for floral design and creative talents into a successful floral design company: The Hidden Garden Floral Design. Amy started by creating arrangements for friends and family as a hobby and this led her to open The Hidden Garden in 1999. She established herself as a top florist in L.A. for everyday flowers, premiere entertainment events, weddings, corporate events, formal galas, awards ceremonies and holidays.

The Hidden Garden creates beautiful designs and their work is often very unique. They’ve appeared in national magazines such as People, Inside Weddings, InStyle Weddings and many more. The Hidden Garden provides daily floral décor services for corporate and private clients including Tiffany & Co. of Beverly Hills and Century City. They also design extraordinary weddings at high-end hotels & resorts such as The Four Seasons, Casa Del Mar, Shutters on the Beach, and The Beverly Hills Hotel.

Jeff Leatham: Architectural Perfection

Jeff Leatham is an artist whose preferred medium is flowers. His method isn’t about focusing solely on the flowers. His bold, architectural designs are about the entire space and the experience and his beautiful installations are magnificent.

In the 90′s, Jeff became famous for his designs soon after he began his career at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. His style was new, fresh, and unique and he became an overnight celebrity magnet, producing designs for people like OprahSarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow and Tina Turner. He even worked on Chelsea Clinton‘s wedding!

After working for the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills and Schrager Hotels, the Four Seasons George V in Paris brought Jeff across the pond and gave him a weekly budget of up to 15,000 stems for his displays. With the beautiful Parisian backdrop of George V for inspiration, Jeff’s floral installations became a hit in Paris as well as the U.S.

As if all that wasn’t impressive enough, Jeff has had the pleasure of working on some incredible projects including installing floral arrangements for a gala dinner in Versaille’s famous Hall of Mirrors; collaborating with Henri J. Silliam to create  a fine orchid jewelry piece and working with Disney and Swarovski to commemorate Mickey Mouse‘s 80th birthday. He also collaborated with Swarovski on another project, designing a gorgeous chandelier called Orchidee (First Photo). It was constructed of hundreds of hand-blown orchid stems and crystal laquer.

Jeff knows that the vase is just as important as the arrangement. He has designed some stunning vases, including the Arum, that was purchased at auction to benefit amfAR by the Dallas Museum of Art for their permanent display.

Jeff is an active supporter of the amfAR charity, and in 2008 he donated the artist proof of his PISTILL sculpture. It was formed by molding together 30 wire cubes to create the illusion of the feminine reproductive organ of a flower. The sculpture is 79″ high and is a limited edition of 10 pieces.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Jeff on a Mindy Weiss wedding and he is an amazing artist and an absolute joy to work with!
