Mindy Weiss‘ son, Jordan, was recently married at the Bookbindery in Culver City and we were happy to be a part of this incredible wedding and reception! The gorgeous event is being featured on the Inside Weddings blog and is filled with amazing details and beauty! Click here for the full Inside Weddings story.
Santa Barbara magazine‘s annual Polo + Champagne Soiree held at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club is featured in the latest issues of the magazine. We decorated the club with a 20′s-inspired British tent, our Versailles line of furniture, as well as many of our other new pieces, including a custom-made bar.
Enjoy some of our photos from the event and be sure to pick up a copy of Santa Barbara magazine to see the professional photos and story!
Wall Treatments are a beautiful way to complete an environment and create a mood. The right wall treatment or room divider can create a feeling of comfort, romance, and elegance. For the Grace Ormonde photo shoot (above) we created a textured paper wall that is still used for many weddings and events today. We’re always thinking about new ways to cover walls that are less than exciting; or trying out the perfect fabric to make a grand ballroom feel a little more intimate. Here are some wall treatments we have available in the Revelry warehouse and we’re always creating new things!

Laura and Michael’s rehearsal dinner in the Sunset Room at the Beverly Hills Hotel had a very Hollywood Super Club look and feel. We worked with Mindy Weiss to make that look happen with our brown leather sofas, suede banquets and custom-designed wood bar with inlaid mirrored panels. We love working with the very talented Geller Events! With 14 years of experience, Debbie Geller has created an incredible boutique company that has produced some of the most beautiful events including weddings, social parties and corporate functions. They’ve planned events throughout the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico and Europe and they are committed to limiting the number of weddings and events they take on each year so they can ensure their clients receive personalized attention and care.
We’ve worked with Geller Events so many times over the years and have a little sample of our beautiful collaborations to share with you! Enjoy!

We’ve worked on many parties and events with Mindy Weiss, who is one of the most famous event planners in the U.S. Mindy is the owner and principle planner/designer of Mindy Weiss Party Consultants, which provides event planning services for any type or size wedding, party corporate event and bar/bat mitzvah.
Mindy started her career by designing custom invitations for parties and she eventually branched out and opened Mindy Weiss Party Consultants in 1992. She’s built a reputation in the industry for her creativity, unique parties and attention to detail. Some of her celebrity clients include Fergie and Josh Duhamel, Ellen Degeneres and Portia Rossi, Katy Perry and Russell Brand, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, Heidi Klum and Seal and more!
Mindy also does charity work, providing pro-bono party planning for charitable organizations like The Carousel of Hope Ball for Childhood Diabetes and The Race to Erase MS. She also has close ties to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA).
Mindy’s brand has extended into wedding products and books. Mindy and The Inviting Company collaborated in 2009 and introduced The Mindy Weiss for Inviting Company, a collection of paper products and stationary. Mindy’s book, The Wedding Book: The Big Book for Your Big Day, is an excellent resource for brides and includes information on everything related to your wedding.
We thought we’d show off a few of Revelry‘s collaborations with Mindy Weiss. Enjoy!
This very spooky Steven Petrarca party at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel was a lot of fun to help create. We decorated using our brown lounge furniture and created a dark and cozy lounge complete with red chandeliers and brown chiffon draped on the ceiling. The rooftop deck was edgy, fun and comfortable and included lots of Revelry seating, more chandeliers and mirrored tables. They even projected old scary movies onto a brick wall! Thanks Marianne Lozano Photography for these frightening photos!
Let’s talk about my favorite: the lounge, where guests can relax and linger over a drink and conversation. I’m going to show you how to create a fabulous lounge for your next party at home. We’ve all heard the expression “Mi casa es su casa. My house is your house,” but few people in their right mind stroll around spouting “me cama es su cama,” or “my bed is your bed.” I can, however, think of one instance where it might not be so inappropriate.
The next time you’re hosting a party with a lounge, why not borrow your bed (double or larger) for the evening. Place the box spring and mattress (leave the frame in the bedroom) in the center of your living room, wrap the sides with a length of fabric cut to size, drape several multi-colored throws on top to cover, and sprinkle an assortment of pillows in the center.
Voila! You have an instant opium lounger that all your guests will flock to, not only for it’s style, but also for it’s comfort. And you might just have the added thrill of bragging rights that a “certain someone” shared your bed.
