The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California is a prime venue for impressive events such as the Academy Awards, music concerts, and live theatre performances which made it the perfect location for an incredibly opulent wedding there this summer for hundreds of guests.

Guests enjoyed a dramatic entrance with a red carpet that was lined on both sides with boxed greenery and floral arches by Mark’s Garden dispersed throughout the walkway. This luxurious occasion called for dramatic touches such as custom draping on the iconic Dolby Theatre archway at the entrance.

Once inside, twenty violin players flanked both sides of the candlelit staircase that was adorned in gorgeous white blooms. The staircase would lead to a circular room where additional red carpeting, creamy florals, and tall white drapery provided a dramatic effect.

The room that followed was a stark contrast as rich black carpeting and black drapery filled the space. A luxurious Los Angeles wedding would not be complete without a few key-Hollywood features so gold stars emblazoned with the bride and groom’s names  and their guests were the perfect addition to the design.

The Chuppah was certainly the show stopper at this wedding!  We draped the walls in a soft chiffon and provided custom furnishings throughout the ballroom at the Beverly Wilshire. Two custom bars were placed at the entrance to the reception. Empty Vase did a spectacular job designing this wedding planned by International Event Company! We love being a part of this gorgeous affair.

We love a stylish beach party! Mindy Weiss coordinated and helped us design a fiesta themed destination event at the beach complete with piñatas and a tequila bar! Guests dined under a dreamy draped cabana and lounged on our yellow and white sofas and ottomans. Once the sun set, the colorful lights illuminated overhead for an added touch of fun from Images by Lighting. Mark’s Garden designed the florals.

Romance was in the air for this pastel wedding with Iconic Event Studios at the Beverly Hills Hotel. We draped the ballroom with a beautiful ivory fabric that was lit with a soft pink light for warmth. Guests were seated at our Versailles Cane Back Chairs and Versailles Upholstered Chairs. Peach and white arrangements were created by Mark’s Garden.

From La Fete Weddings

“This mind-blowingly gorgeous wedding reception took place last summer and we think it is one of the most beautiful tent designs we have ever worked with. Revelry Event Designers worked side by side with Town and Country Event Rentals to create this remarkable tent with fabric draping. Images by Lighting transformed the reception as soon as the sun went down with their spectacular lighting! The chandeliers were dressed in tons of greenery and the florals on each table were stunning! Jackson Durham hand glued each tiny lambs ear leaf onto the vases on the head table, which was incredibly unique and really made that table feel special! We chose 6 different table linens that all worked together in the same color palette. Some tables were long 16-foot feasting tables & others were beautiful wooden dining tables mixed in with round & square tables with linens. This created a beautiful atmosphere that set each table apart from the next, yet was still very pleasing to the eye. The magnificent cake was designed and decorated by Sweet and Saucy Shop. Roomforty provided the delicious catering. We are extremely thankful to Willa Kveta Photography for capturing these extraordinary images from this day! We hope you enjoy this gorgeous event and that it inspires you with a beautiful tent design for your wedding reception!”

Bess Wyrick from Celadon & Celery Events styled and designed this stunning photo shoot for photographers at the Styling with Lady Grey Workshop. For the main vignette, she used our reclaimed wood beams with white chiffon draping, wooden beaded chandelier, and the Versailles Upholstered Dining Chairs. The other vignettes included our Garden Jones Sofa and our Shanghai Stand Up Table.

From Bess Wyrick of Celadon & Celery:

Some people rarely leave the city they were born in; they simply spend their entire lives in that city. However, there are others who may be considered lucky because they travel all around the world. I had just gotten back from sailing in the Mediterranean Sea and settled in İstanbul for a few days. I was impressed with the Islamic architecture, the vibrant colors, the fabrics hanging in all the stores and the pink and orange sunsets.
I wanted to feel the Legendary affairs between Sinan the architect and Mihrimah Sultan, the mysterious handprint in Hagia Sophia, and bring in patterns that I saw in the art.
Working with Reverly, we agreed that we had to build a structure to encase the table setting. It was important to not cover the ground or the dirt rather to let the drapes swim in the air and to feel the breeze come off the lake. I wanted to still feel as if I was sitting off the bospherous river.
I took the blues, rose golds, and ivory colors straight out of the mosque and using La Tavola linens was a perfect mixture of color and pattern. Modernizing the look with blue netting placemats, white and gold chargers and blue glass goblets. Rounding the spring look off with local dahlias peonies and Liliacs was magical floral moment for me. Hardly do we ever get to play with such elegance flowers all at once. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I loved styling it.

Art Deco Wedding with Mindy Weiss

We love working in tents. For this gorgeous Mindy Weiss event we draped the tent with a soft platinum chiffon and hung our Palm Tree Chandeliers. The perimeter was draped with a soft platinum chiffon fabric and had Art Deco laser cut light boxes  placed throughout. Images by Lighting and Mark’s Garden knocked it out of the park! Classic Party Rentals provided Chameleon chairs and tent. 1. Start with the color palette: For this wedding, the key color was rose gold, which we used as an accent along with a mix of creams and whites. We stayed true to the color palette for every element. The rose gold was found on the custom linen piping, flowers vases on the tables and the lighting.rose_gold_white_ivory_blush_wedding_color_swatch_v152_cs

  2. Add 1,000 candles: There is nothing more romantic than a room lit with candles. The soft glow puts everyone at ease and provides a gorgeous illumination for all of the guests. I find the warm glow to be an organic element that is really dramatic.
  3. Create a clean canvas: I always drape the walls to provide a starting point for the design. The event could be held in an iconic, notable ballroom or a nondescript tent; the drapery edits all and provides a perfect canvas to create a stylish signature event.

rose_gold_pink_romantic_wedding_roses_invitations_ceci_johnson_v152_om_3g4. Design around the flow of the evening and the guests: I always place the bars near the dance floor. In this case the entire room was a dance floor so the bars were set next to the dancing area.

5. Mix up the seating: We provided six different styles of seating. We had round banquets with round tables, straight banquets with square tables. Some of the tables were mirror top and some had gorgeous linens. We even had a 16-foot-long long feast table. It made the space planning quite challenging, and we had to account for every inch of space. It was well worth the extra time and thought as it made for a very interesting room.
