Luxe Launch, Revelry Event Design, Duke Images, Vibiana, Percy Sales Events, Avant Garden Events

Inspired by the Modernisme movement in Barcelona and Antoni Gaudí, Percy Sales Events and Avant Garden Events collaborated together to designed the following tablescape named “Modernisme” for Luxe Launch hosted by LUXE Linen and Rayce PR at Vibiana.

Gaudí’s iconic architecture style was reflected in the table design as well as the handmade hanging gold chain chandelier. Our Garden Madrid Dining Chair in black added the perfect gothic touch against the jewel toned florals. Overall, the juxtaposition of the classic with the modern, the soft with the hard and the dark with the bold made viewers interpret the design on their own as that is what the team wanted.

The team completed their idea with an inspiration by Beyonce at the 2017 Grammy’s. That piece took form in their live model and muse for the space.

Post Wedding Brunch in Malibu

What a great way to end a beautiful wedding! This tangerine and turquoise Mindy Weiss post-wedding brunch at a private estate in Malibu was beach chic. We created a custom-made tangerine bar that sat underneath a gorgeous Raj Tent and we decorated with some feminine white lounge furniture, ottomans and wood tables to complete the look. Mark’s Garden designed some stunning florals in tangerine, fuchsia, brown and green that were completely unique and perfect for this party.

The Hidden Garden Floral Design

Amy Marella turned her passion for floral design and creative talents into a successful floral design company: The Hidden Garden Floral Design. Amy started by creating arrangements for friends and family as a hobby and this led her to open The Hidden Garden in 1999. She established herself as a top florist in L.A. for everyday flowers, premiere entertainment events, weddings, corporate events, formal galas, awards ceremonies and holidays.

The Hidden Garden creates beautiful designs and their work is often very unique. They’ve appeared in national magazines such as People, Inside Weddings, InStyle Weddings and many more. The Hidden Garden provides daily floral décor services for corporate and private clients including Tiffany & Co. of Beverly Hills and Century City. They also design extraordinary weddings at high-end hotels & resorts such as The Four Seasons, Casa Del Mar, Shutters on the Beach, and The Beverly Hills Hotel.

The Art of Transformation, Part 6: Props

At Revelry Event Designers, anything that isn’t a piece of furniture, fabric or lighting is labeled a “prop.” While furniture and fabric may be the cake and frosting of my designs, props are definitely the nonpareils of my creation. They provide the finishing touches and complete the look.

Some of my props include shoji screens and other room dividers, oversized ornately framed mirrors, fire walls comprised of metal shelving units on which I place votives to create a glowing panel of light, as well as other decorative elements such as garlands of mirror disks and beautiful capiz shells. But if forced to confess, my most exalted and useful prop would have to be the bar.

Bars are a fundamental element in many of the parties I create and their design and look are as diverse as the clients who hire me. There are times when a bar is a seemingly inconsequential element of the party, often nestled along a wall, surrounded by any number of food and dessert buffets. In these instances, the design is usually kept simple and can even be a rented banquet table covered with a beautiful fitted or tufted cloth. But there are those parties when the bar gets pulled from the shadows and placed center stage and it is during these moments that my mind reels with all the possibilities.

I have a number of bars capable of accepting the starring role. Made of a light-weight metal and comprised of multiple units, they can be arranged to form a square, circle or even an oval. And since the surfaces are removable, I can easily alter the look. Likewise, I have a variety of shelving units used as back bars. The possibilities for beautiful and functional bars are endless and we are experts and custom-designing the perfect bar for any event!

Reflecting the Manhattan Skyline. Rather than set up a bar as a single unit, try scattering glasses, beverages and other items over a series of “building’like” risers. Start by making five or six plywood cubes; some tall and narrow, others short and wide. Paint the boxes different shades of grey and accent with squares of white to mimic lit windows. Arrange the cubes into a “neighborhood” and complete with stacks of sparking glasses adn bottles of libations. The more “buildings” the more effective the look. This same treatment also looks stunning with each cube wrapped in a brightly colored fabric.

Spooky Soiree at the Beverly Wilshire

This very spooky Steven Petrarca party at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel was a lot of fun to help create. We decorated using our brown lounge furniture and created a dark and cozy lounge complete with red chandeliers and brown chiffon draped on the ceiling. The rooftop deck was edgy, fun and comfortable and included lots of Revelry seating, more chandeliers and mirrored tables. They even projected old scary movies onto a brick wall! Thanks Marianne Lozano Photography for these frightening photos!
